Making copper rivets

I need some advice for making solid copper rivets from the solid copper rods. Kindly tell me the procedure to do.

For medium quantities (>1000 pcs) of a custom rivet made from bar stock, have them produced using a swiss machine.

Yes you can cold head them Or you can clamp the shaft and hot forge them. Until the OP comes back and tells us why he wants to do this, I still say it is cheaper to buy them ready made, unless he lives in a country where he cannot get them.

just upset a copper rod using a normal rivet squeeze gun.
