I'm trying to make small 3.5 radii membranes from polyurethane pellets dissolved in THF(10%polymer solution). I'm casting them in aluminum pans and tried both air-drying in a hood and vacuum drying, but when I try to peel the membranes off...they cohere to themselves and won't unstick...kinda like when tape tapes itself. Any ideas?

I personally do not know, but I will forward this message to another Eng in my group, who will know what to do. I know they have been doing some work similar to your project over the last few months. I hope he can help.

What type of polyurethane pellets are you trying to do this with?

Try teflon coated or glass substrate. Be sure all THF is rinsed away before attempting to dry. May want to cast an a surface other than that which you dry it on. Watch for shrinkage!

I was looking at some of your entries and would like to talk to you off-line,I work R&D for a ptfe membrane manufacturer. please call
