Making two swept solids surface tangent to each other

I'm working on a manifold that I currently have set up as so:

Four individual runners (swept solids)
Unite four runners
Swept transition section between a sketch and the face formed by the four united runners

So the issue I'm having is that where the solids meet, the faces are only tangent at the guide curves, but not really anywhere else:

I have the interpolation set to cubic, but I'm not sure what else I can do to make them tangent to each other. Edge and face blends almost are never work along the mating edge shown. Any suggestions? I'm working in NX-8.

I'd suggest looking into using a through curves, through curve mesh, or studio surface. With these surface types, you can specify a tangency constraint to an existing surface.

Whoops, did not realize that. Here's the attached file.

I tried using Through Curve Mesh, but it's only drawing one half of the rectangular shell, and I can't get it to draw the other half. Unfortunately, my license doesn't include Studio Surfaces.

You may have to do this prior to shelling any ports (paths, insides of the casting, whatever you wish to call them). I'd stop the first two solids well short of touching (one side or both sides) and build a transition body using either a Through Curve Mesh (TCM) or Through Curves as cowski already pointed out. The TCM will require guides to give you control over the paths the sections are swept. You can create the guide curves with Bridge Curves and make them Associative if you wish. Through Curves will probably twist on you if you're not careful how you pick the sections (if possible, start at the same endpoint on both sides and have the arrow pointing in the same direction (mirror the picks). Hope this makes sense.

I managed to get it to work by using Through Curves Mesh on smaller pieces of the cross-sections and then sewing them all together. Thanks for the help!
