Can someone point me in the right direction in terms of which code applies to a man basket design.
This will have a drill and be attached to a crane. It will be used for holding workers in place during
rockfall mitigation.

Thanks.

Is the platform is to be attached to the crane, or the basket is to be lifted? OSHA requirement definitely is to be observed.

Yes, I would design it (using AISC principles) to OSHA load and factors of safety, except that items specific to the crane rigging (padeyes, etc), inspection & maintenance would be per ASME BTH-1

Note that several of the larger US contractors don't allow man baskets anymore (high risk). I presume you've already been directed by your contractor.
