Hi,
I'm dealing with three phase separators project.where pipings have been changed to B1 class from existing B2 class.
The change in piping class does have any complications or not.
Please advise me, shall I allow or cancel this change.
Thanks

Piping class is normally determined based on the service conditions - pressure, temperature and commodity inside the pipeline. For the three phase separator, you have phase change - from liquid phase to vapor phase.

Normally, chemical engineer decides the service conditions. Material engineer or mechanical engineer decides the piping class. You need consulting with them.
