Dear everyone,

Question. I have opened some topic about bolts/screws (cold heading and thread rolling only) manufacturing already but this is a bit different question.
I noticed that on this forum isn't allowed to say contact details (messengers, e-mails,..) but could anyone please point me to the correct person or website; I would like to know how should I prevent many failures that are happening while bolts/screws are being manufactured. I am interested about preventive and not coorective (such as: bigger frequency of measuring, thats coorective) solutions.
Does anyone know who should I contact and name to him the failure so I could get solution to it?
I have already tried Intota website but I cannot afford their prices - they are a way too expensive and I don't know any other online consulting / 1 on 1 training website.

I know that Im asking indirect question and not direct one but hopefully someone could still help who should I contact. I would give my skype id but, as the rules of the forum says, Im not allowed to.

Thank you...

Try the American Society for Quality Control. They have guidelines on sampling frequency and many members have developed preventive programs for failure mitigation.

To summarize your question:

You are looking for a consultant to help you improve the quality of your screw machine production.

You might poke around here
It's very likely that the person you need is a member.

MintJulep there is no forum on this site listed in menu, no members with contacts listed also. Any other ideas? I have contacted countless of cold heading and thread rolling companies but no respond. Been working on this for months.

What you are primarily looking for is a Manufacturing Engineer to
identify and correct your problem (s) then implement Quality
Control Measures to control it.

Below are links to Tooling U (Society of manufacturing Engineers) I definately would contact them for some specific guidance.

Look under Quality on the pull down menu.

Here is their pricing schedule for an individual. This one is based on a monthly subscription rate.

unclesyd I already have problems identified but I need solutions to them. For each of them I need few (it can be up to four) solutions - what should be done so this failure won't occur again. So I need preventive and not corrective solution.
If I had just one failure and needed solution, I would name it here. For example one of failures that I would like to get solutions for is:

Breaking of cross on the bolt's head (related to cold heading)

but if I would list, here on this forum, every single failure after receiving the reply on the previouns one, this topic would have quiet a few pages. However, failures, that I need solutions for, are still not so many - less than 20. But I don't think anyone would have so much patience with me here, I might be wrong also.

unclesyd, regarding the link which you gave me, I don't see so called "Class Name" which is relevant to my project of Quality Assurance. I also tried to use keywords "cold heading" and "thread rolling" but nothing found. I would for sure found on Intota ( some experts with who I would be able to finish and answer all the questions that I have for all failures under two hours of conversation. I need just solutions, nothing else.

Thank you all for the helpful replies.
