What is "MAT11" exactly?
What type of material? What type of elements is it used with?

MAT11 is an orhotropic material according to Simcenter Nastrans manual. I have used that type of material in MSC also even if it was some years ago.

But it may be that there is some difference in how the material is written to the bdf-file. Have you set up Femap so that it writes a file for MSC.Nastran?

If you go to "File-Preferences-Interfaces", at the top of that menu you can select your Interface. One of the options might solve your problem [smile].

changing the interface from preferences dint help, but an easy fix was changing the analysis program from the Analysis Manager .

Thank you all for responding

If you have set up the analysis in the Analysis Manager, that is the way to go.

Good to hear that it worked.
