Material for manufacturing the extruder cylinder

Dear all, Good afternoon, Could you help me, if possible, in choosing the appropriate material for manufacturing an extruder cylinder (Thermoplastic extrusion machine)?

I am currently using DIN 1.8550 steel.

I would like to know if there is another steel for nitriding that is more affordable than the one mentioned.
