I am new to both ANSYS and this forum and I am hoping for some help.
I want to make a model of a thin film of plastic material (eg LDPE), which is going to melt under cyclic pressure. I am interested in studying the plastic energy.
Lack of material knowledge makes it difficult for me to find a suitable model. I can get as far as realizing that I should choose structural-nonlinear-inelastic but then I don't even know whether it is rate independent or not.
Someone told me that Nonlinear kinematic hardening, CHABOCHE, would be suitable, does anyone else think so?
Thank you!
Sofia
