Looking to make a small gas combustion camber to burn NG. I was looking at stainless 304. Just wondering on thickness of the wall should be or would it be best to line it with ceramic? Is there another metal that is best to be used in a fire tube? Is there a thickness chart vs. BTU you want or something in that nature?

There is not enough information here to give a basic response. Inconel 601 is easy to form and weld, also has good heat resistance.
However first we need the expected temperature of your combustion chamber.

I was looking at the outmost surface being 250-300C. In control aspect, want to get a surface temp probe to take back into a controller to turn on and off the flame, to to cut back on flow to maintain.
