PTC recently announced a free version of Mathcad Prime 2.0 called Mathcad Express, which apparently hasn't been discussed here. As best I can tell, Express has only been available for a few weeks. It's a stripped down verson of Prime that has only about half the number of mathematical functions and there is no programming, no symbolics, no Excel integration (though it appears that you can import Excel data), and plots are apparently limited to X-Y only. It also watermarks the footer of each page with screened text that reads "Created with Mathcad Express. See for more information."
But, hey, it's FREE. I've been using Mathcad 8.0 for MANY years and I don't need most of the high-end capabilities of Prime 2.0, so Express is a godsend. I can't justify ~$1400 or whatever for Prime 2.0, but I can sure justify free, even with the watermark.
