I have a file under mathcad version 12.

I am using an indice (i) ranging from say 1 to 10 , with a step = 1...so in my file I am calculating several values for each step..

I am actually satisfied with the results.

The problem is when I want to preview or print the file..I see a sort of zig-zig or criss cross green line under each value..ugly eehh..The comment I got from mathcad when pointing a value is " This expression defines a previous defined variable".

The question is how to get rid of these ugly cris crosses and this comment ?

It is not nice to show this to a client..

I do not have- had this when working under version 2000 or previuous versions !!

The ugly green squiggle first appeard in about version 8. Version 12 has a lot of problems, but that is a feature, not a bug.

Go into Tools, Preferneces, Warnings, and turn warnings off. MathCad is just trying to tell you that you've redefined either a built-in variable or a user-defined variable.

This is a GOOD thing. The first thing that new users tend to do is to define one of the built-in units, like "m" or "g", then wonder why the unit system doesn't work.

Each successive version of Mathcad has had an increase in the number of built-in units, so knowing that you've redefined something is pretty important.

That said, I would suggest that if you've just recently purchased M12, to try and get M13 in exchange. M12 does indeed have a lot of bugs.

It is also appear when you define the same variable twice.

I like it. It has helped my debugging at least once - I didn't get the squiggly green line when I was expecting it, so I knew the varaible I was trying redeine hadn't been.
