Hi,
Has anyone used matte black spray paint on a machined metal surface to prevent potential laser specular reflections? Usually I have my aluminum parts used with laser systems Black Type II Anodized to help prevent specular reflections, but I can't do this in this instance due to lead time. I am thinking I can just have the part machined w/out anodization (3 day lead time, with anodization +4-7 days on top of the 3 day), and buy a can of matte black spray paint at a hardware store and just spray down the parts upon arrival. These are just Class 2 lasers so this is more for redundancy.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
