maximum value of "nblock" in "vdload"

Does anyone happen to know how to change the maximum value of "nblock" in the user subroutine "vdload"? It is set to be "136" on my current machine. I tried to change "maxblk" to be a larger value in "vaba_param.inc", but it is not working.
