Greetings all,

I have a question related to dimensioning in boiler i was reviewing the drawings for tubes in economizer in our water tube boilers where is observed dimensioning in the following manner 44S X 115P= 5060 (16' 7 3/16") as distance between centre of tubes and bolt hole. my question is what doe s and P in this dimension stand for ?

Thanks everyone in advance for helping me.

P stands for pitch of the tubes in the boiler application. I am not sure about s. When you talk about the bolt hole, I did not want to creates guesses. You need to clarify which bolt hole you are talking about.

Perhaps attaching the drawing will give us better idea.

s could be the distance between tube lines (in case they are parallel) in a tube bundle in the flow direction. Again it is a guess without seeing the drawing.

But 44 mm does look short for the distance s in my previous post. You have not mentioned about economiser tube diameter to make this guess.

8 spaces on 127mm pitch?
When and where is this drawing from?

The letters "S" = space and "P" = pitch were not necessary.
8 x 127 = 1016 is clear in the drawing.

This drawing is 50 years old or older

Regards

Thank you guys Edstainless, Saplanti and r6155 you are right the drawing is nearly 50 yrs old.
