Hello everyone!
I have to measure the Corona Inception Voltage (CIV) of a motor cable.
That's what I thought about so far as a setup:
- 50 ft cable sample (3 phase conductors and 1 ground conductor)
- high voltage transformer connected to 2 of the phase conductors
- oscilloscope to visualize the waveform. to see when the civ is reached and the voltage drops.
What do you think about that?
