Hi, I think I'm wasting my breath trying to explain myself to the PTC call centre in France and as we don't go through a reseller I think I stand more chance posting here.
I am just trying to access Mechanica Lite to do a simple analysis but all the icons are greyed out.
We have had Mechanica Lite working on another machine in the office before so I'm sure one of the floating licenses will allow it.
IT dept have modified my permsions so I pick up the higher level licence which, when I type 'ptcstatus' in a cmd prompt shows that I am piking up PROE_Flex3C - which I think is now called Enterprise SE. We are using Wildfire 4.0 M080
I have Mechnaica installed on the machine so it should have all the necessary components installed.
When I switch to Pro/Mechanica is says "Mechanica could not obtain a license. Entering Mechanica Lite." in the task bar and the Process Guide post up but all the Properties icons for assigning material etc. are greyed out.
Any advice or comments gratefully recieved.

OK, the nice man at PTC in Munich was able to help me, so I'll post for the benefit of any others reading this.
Basically I was being a plank...
Mechnica Lite is a very stripped back version on Mechanica and the ONLY way to assign materials is by following the hyperlinks in the Process Guide window text.
