Mechanical Design and Stress Analysis of Process Skid /Modular packages

Could someone please give me an insight on the mechanical design aspect of Process Skid /Modular packages in Oil & Gas industry?
I have a couple of questions on it like:-

[li]What are the inputs or information (PFD/P&ID/Datasheet etc.)required to start with(I mean from scratch)?[/li]
[li]3D Modeling of Skid structure is done by Process discipline or mechanical design team or collaboratively?[/li]
[li]What the Mechanical Design Engineer has to do further if 3D Modeling of Skid structure is created by Process discipline?[/li]
[li]What are the main factors to be considered in Skid mechanical design and stress analysis?[/li]
[li]What are the most often used standard structural sections and materials used in skid construction?[/li]
[li]Which tool is used for 3D modeling of skid structure and which for stress analysis?[/li]
[/ul]
