hi ,
i am doing a structural analysis on a part made of HDPE. i am assuming it to be a lineary elastic material. then what can be the best values for youngs modulus, poissons ratio, yeild stress. etc.

What about "e" modulus. It might be listed as APPARENT modulus as thermoplastics are subject to creep under load, and therefore are not fully elastic, and it is time, load, temperature dependant, therefor any measure of elastic recovery is normally qualified in some way.

For solids, Poisson's ratio ranges between ~ 0.3 (fully elastic deformation) to 0.5 (fully plastic deformation). Use both of these to see the behavior at the limits.

If the environment is room temperature with short loading time, then typical properties for HDPE are:

E = 1.05 GPa
[ν] = 0.35
yield stress = 25 MPa

Re properties of HDPE

I use 0.38 for Poisson's ratio (and have done for 30 years).

Modulus is highly variable with temperature, loading time and actual stress induced.
