Could someone please point me to data sheets on 22 KV XLPE insulated cables. I need to find out about possible deterioration when used overhead (on tray) open to sky & sun.
Also, the effect of such a cable on nearby data/control/power cables which are about 1 meter away from the HV cable.

If you see any vendor catalogue for 22 kv( UE /E)or any other voltage grade cable , you wd get most of the parameters like Dimensions, insulation thickness, screen thickness, dia over/under armour, weight of cable/meter , current carrying capacity at set temp in air/ ground/duct etc. Also you wd get resistances/reactances.plus lot more details. You need to only check the cross section area of the conductor and conductor material etc for particular details . Short circuit current withstand capacity is generally important in selecting the size of the cable against the criteria of normal loading on the cable(unless feeder is too long for voltage drop reasons to go for much higher sizes).

Outersheath of the cable should be U/V resistant( mention in the data sheet) . Though Cable tray covers also serves the purpose.
Distance of 1 mtrs of between this cable and other inst. cable is adequate however pl. check with any standard code for the separation guidelines.
Let me know if you need any more feedback.

Southwire indicates that their cable has some UV resistance, but does not get into a lot of detail on it. You can check out their datasheet at:

General Cable also has an online catalog if you point your browser to:

Either of those manufacturers will likely have contact information on their website that will lead you to some of their technical peronnel.
Good Luck.

Thermoplastic polyethylenes have excellent performance to the sunlight. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) provides additional mechanical advantage.

Check the UL std 1277.
