I'm right now working on a menu bar item that shows the active angle and, naturally, lets the user change the active angle. Anyone have any hints or do you want me to figure this one out on my own and report back?

Not sure if I understand the question but are you asking for the keyin?

aa=
<enter key>
(click on the screen allows to list the active angle)

the keyin
.
active scale distance
.
(This gives you the scale factor/ active scale needed between 2 different scaled items.)
.
I'm sure I screwed up the question.
Sorry in advance it that doesn't help. [sadeyes]

Thanks anyway, Rich!

What I'm trying to do is set up an icon/pull-down/whatever with the active angle showing. Something like a level view or view group kind of menu tool. A custom tool bar kind of thing.

Have you ever tried Settings Groups and Side Bar menus. They are alot more efficent than custom tool bars. Custom tool bars do not travel well. What this means is the "interface" must be local and don't share well. Settings Groups and side bar menu can reside on the network. They are easy to program.

Good Luck
Drop me an e-mail and I will send you something real quick to help

What I'm trying to build is a tool that lets me change the active angle independent of rotating an element. Will settingsgroups and side bar menus let me do this?

Interesting ... [sunshine]

How do you create side bar menus, since they travel so well over the tool bars?
