hi all,

i have some issues modelling a solid mesh onto solid geometry.

The imported geometry is a STEP file, with multiple solid bodies that are close to each other.

My problem is that when i generate the solid mesh the meshes between two solids are different, so the model is detached into more pieces. But i need to have an unique mesh.

To better undesrtand my problem i made an easy example of the prob.

Is there any way in Patran to tell the mesher to take into account adjacent solid bodies?

As the model is quite complicated any manual meshing or manual edge matching is quite immpossible.

Thx for any advice,
Cheers Frluga

Does the picture bare any resemblence to the realparts? as you cant get any simpler than what you have shown?
Maybe you could post the real picture as it may be easier to understand your problem. Its never impossible to obtain a very good mesh whatever the geometry, it only takes some forward planning, time and maybe some persistance, and it may be somewhat harder than letting a paver do its thing without any recourse.
