That’s pretty broad in a really uncertain area. We build filter units that filter down to 1 micron and below. None of the information we found really made any sense in actual tests. We ended up building units, running them inn test shops and then doing laser particle counts to get accurate data.

The best guy I have ever met is John at D.R. Shannon. Really knows his stuff.

Veolia aka Crown solutions is good.
US Water
GE Water
Wigen water treatment

All good suppliers who can scale to pretty much all size projects.

Burtis,

What are you looking for specifically? Suppliers? Consultants? Comparisons of technologies? What works best for a given application or industry? What are the pitfalls to watch out for? How to proceed with design and implementation?

You might receive more useful information if you post your questions on this forum. There is also another forum called "Membrane Engineering" in the Chemical Engineering section within this site.

When searching for information on unfamiliar subjects, always be on guard against "sales-tips" and "google-tips" vs. knowledge-based and experience-based "eng-tips". Unfortunately, you get them all on this and other open forums.

Good luck with your search!

Hi Burtis,

What is it you are trying to filter, what's your medium, are you protecting anything such as RO or just want a high purity filtrate?

Agree with sbush, have a look under the membrane forum, your'e bound to find something of interest there.
