Mineral bonding rubber?

I need to know what kind of rubber will bond best to harder mineral grains like Aluminum oxide, Silicone carbide etc.

Will it maybe be better to use a vulcanizable artificial rubber for this purpose?

It's not a matter of "which rubber" you want to look at an adhesion promoter or bonding agent.

My company uses LORD CHEMLOC, we've used them for years, various types and grades for the various rods we use.

For the record we are injection molding EPDM over fiberglass epoxy rods. To get maximum adhesion and seal we use Chemloc primers on the rod.

Lord Chemical, Chemloc product line. The engineers there should be able to point you in the right direction!!

You should pick you rubber based on the application that it will be used in, then figure out an adhesive. Chemlok is good, but Thixon and Megum are also tradenames to look for. You can either post bond after molding or bond during the molding process.
