Minimum distance required between lifeboat and hull

Dear sirs,

I need to check the minimum safe distance required between a davit sytem life boat and fixed rig hull (structure or any piece) for guarantee safe operation related interference risks, during elevation and down operation.



Please inform too if any standard is available for rule and/or help to define this kind of project issue .

Refer to the ABS 107 series GUIDE FOR BUILDING AND CLASSING
LIFTBOATS. I don't know if this provides the dimensions that you need. Also consider the manufacturers recomendations. For the ABS download go to
