Minimum piping height from ground 8

Hi my friends . I would like to clear a doubt i have, related to minimun height of pipings and draning pipes. I just readed that minimum height of all piping systems showld be of 150 mm or more.
Could you tell me the technical reason of this?. What norm specifies this or where I can find it as a norm?

Could you tell me the technical reason of this?. (There is no technical reason for this. It is purely a matter of preference. It might be the preference of the Client, the Engineering Company, the Project Manager, the lead piper on the job but, it is not in any Code or Industry Standard.

What norm specifies this or where I can find it as a norm? You will not fine anything beyond what might be printed in one of the popular Piping Engineering and Design text books

Sometimes its possible to do all the right things and still get bad results

No code has such requirements.
If you have to walk under it, it may be 2m, but not for underground drains.
Depends on lots of other things you have not mentioned.

you must get smarter than the software you're using.

A purely practical approach where if you installed a drain might actually be able to open it and also 150mm is a reasonable height for a support height / piece of wood / steel / dead animal etc to keep it off the ground. There are many surface laid flowlines in the world, but in plants they like to keep it off the floor - it looks nicer and is easier to modify and the underside tends not to corrode as much.

Agree that there is no code requirements for the 150 mm or more height. 150mm is a reasonable height for a support height or installation of insulation.

How about the civil design consideration.

The top of underground pipe shall be below than frozen depth of Soil(Ground), unless anti-frozen method is applied.

It the pipe is located at the kind of traffic area, the traffic load shall be considered for the depth of pipe.
(This case could be optional.)
