Minimum size for attachment welds for nozzles

Hi everyone,
I have a problem in determining tmin for minimum size for attachment welds for nozzles calculation according to ASME VIII DIV 1 , UW-16, in fact the problem is in waht ASME said and the way COMPRESS Codeware peform calculation
In the doc attached below you can find all the details, please have a look and tell me if you have explanation for that

emmouna, in general, all dimensions, etc given in the Code are in the corroded condition, and so it is permitted to size welds based on corroded dimensions, applying the CA to the resultant weld dimension as needed.

To me, it is inconvenient and I generally base weld sizes on uncorroded dimensions.

And software is just software, but the responsibility is yours.
