Trying to mirror a body half.... and get a warning I've not seen before-
"REBUILD ERRORS-the feature does not fit inside the model size limits".

Any insight as to what this means?

thanks

My limited experience with mirrored features was very frustrating. I found a number of legacy models that were heavily mirrored, apparently generated in some version prior to SW2007, that 'broke' in illogical ways with strange error messages when manipulated, modified, or just inserted in assemblies with SW2010. Apparently the older versions of SW were 'better' in some way associated with mirroring. I gave up and recreated what I needed from scratch, with relatively little mirroring.

The part is not big... 9 inches by 6 inches. After I posted the message
I went back through the feature tree and found a few errors,
which I'm assuming caused the mirror error. I had just not seen that error
message before. I was at the end of building the part so I just saved
the one half as a parasolid, opened that up and mirrored it without issue.

Thanks for the follow up.

Always use Ctrl-Q while your designing... it will show any problems that are not showing up. Rebuild light does not go back through the tree and rebuild it. The Ctrl-Q (force rebuild) does and might help to reveal errors as you are designing.

Hope that helps,
