Mismatch of Grade and Unit at Material Test Report / ASME 2

Hello all,

When I checked the Material Test Report (MTR) of the material (SA-515) owned by the inventory manufacturer, there was no M in the grade notation.
However, all records are in SI units.

Is this mismatch allowed as ASME Code? Can I use it for a pressure vessel?

Your help will be much appreciated.

Supplement: Example of description
Material name: SA-515 Grade 70 (not M) <--- US unit
Yield strength: 380 MPa <--- SI unit

Yes you can use the material.
You can use SA-515-70 with EITHER SI OR US unit systems. Similarly you can use SA-515-485 for EITHER US OR SI units system. Please note that I have highlighted the word EITHER and OR. Code does not encourage mixing and matching units in a single set of equation for obvious reasons.

Sec VIII Div 1 Para U-4 , UG-4 , Non Mandatory Appendix GG. They provide ample guidance for such cases.

I understand ASME VIII-1. thank you. Also, I was relieved because it was the same recognition.

What I was wondering about is that the material certificate is
written in US notation and the test record is in SI units.
I thought that if the material name was in US notation, the records would be in US units.

Do I have to worry about the different notation variations?
