After a crash, SolidEdge v18 now refuses to show the window that displays after you use the inspect menu to measure distance, angle etc...

I have tried re-installing and the latest SP but nothing can get the window back.

Anyone had this before?

Thanks

Hi,

usually deinstall/reinstall will leave the registry untouched
and thus everything is unchanged. To get the window back
you can try to delete this key (only this) SE must not be active:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\Version xx\Part\MeasureDlg

xx = your SE version. If that does not help you can delete the
whole key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\Version xx

thereby loosing all your settings. SE will recreate the key upon
start.

Hi,

thanks for the kudos. Now that all is working as it should
it's time to export the whole registry key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\Version xx

to a save place. When later on something is wrong you can
delete the key and restore it by double clicking on
the saved .reg file
