I am trying to get a model into sw from SDRC. Out of 2 models one worked great. The other wont come in correctly. I've had the model supplier convert his file into Step and Iges, with both of the models. The model that doesnt work is comeing in as a sphere model. The supplier has sent me 4 different files and they are always coming in the same. The file was also opened by ACTIFY SPINFIRE viewer, where it is comeing in correctly. Does anyone have any clues as to how to get this model in correctly? I've also tried the files in Autodesks inventor with the same shere model showing up. And I've tried it in sw2003, and sw2004.

I fixed the file by putting it through the "steptools" website converter (free) and had it converted to a sat(acis) file, and it worked.

Where can I find the "steptools" website converter? Were you able to make a drawing from the model in SW?

Thanks
