Hello,

I'm relatively new to using hydrocad. I have a project where I am trying to model a 6" perforated pipe underneath a 4-foot deep pool/pond. This pool/pond also outlets to a broad-crested rectangular weir. During large rain events I would like to water to flow over the weir. For smaller events, I don't want the water to sit in the 4' pool/pond. I am looking to install a 6" perforated pipe underneath the pool for the water to infiltrate and outlet on the other side of the weir. I'm having difficulty trying to model this situation in hydrocad. I currently have a pond that has custom storage for the pool with an outlet to the broad crested weir. Can I also add an outlet for exfiltration and a culvert in the same pond/node to show the perforated drain? Do I need to add additional custom storage to show that the perforated drain will be embedded?

I appreciate any feedback - thanks!

Possible outlet setup would be:

Device#1=Overflow weir, Routing=Secondary
Device#2=Culvert, Routing=Primary
Device#3=Exfiltration, Routing=Device#2

The last line is the most important, routing the exfiltration through the culvert (perf pipe)

Since the bottom of the pond (the exfiltration outlet) is probably limiting the flow, you would not include storage in the stone voids, since this is not freely connected to the main storage.
