This question has probably be answered but I am unable to find the thread so I apologise in advance.
I am using AutoCad LT 2001 and have done a drawing at 1:1. I now want to double the size of one of the drawing views but when I do so the value of the dimension also doubles. I think it has something to do with model space/paperspace/layout but I am really very confused.
If any one can help or point me to an idiots guide on the web I would be very grateful.
Cheers

Hi Parsnip,

did You scale by "_varia"????

If I want to scale, I use the zoom-command in the viewport (layout-space)...

Are your drawing entities in model space while your dimensions are in paper space?

D'ont scale the model because you are changing dimensions.
Invrease the SIZE of the View in paper space.
Luck!

Or, to keep it simple, just use a new dimscale, with with .5 as the measurement scale factor.

Dear all,
Thanks for that - the confusion was over model vs paper space - your tips have worked and I am a happy parsnip!!
Cheers
