thread561-106807 Hello,
I am part of an FSAE team and we are trying to model our tube frame in UG/NX 7. So far we have been able to figure out how to make the wire frame model of the entire frame using sketches on various planes and using the spline function and have used the tube function to place tubes along all of these lines. Now the problem we are encountering is fixing all the joints of the frame. I know that in Solid Works it is a simple function of just trimming and extending the tubes to get them to join how you would like. In NX this does not seam possible. Could anyone shed some light on how to make these joints work? Most of them are not a fish mouth type joint, they are angled joints so that the tube section is continuous.
Also, is there a way to have the tube function go around a radius or bend?
Thanks in advance
