Trying to model an ANSI Roller Chain. Short of modeling each components, and building the assembly, constraining each piece to a path that's the shape of the sprockets it will go on, I thought I would use the Instance Geometry -> Along Path function to try and create the set of links, then pattern them along the path.
Since this is a purchase part, I thought I'd even just try to do this as a part, rather than creating an assembly. However, I'm having issues where the links are not properly following the path. See attached screenshot. As you can see, the other pin hole of the link does not stay tangent to the path. What I need is for the link's pin holes to always be touching the path.
Is there a setting I'm missing, or am I going about this the wrong way?
