I am modeling the resonant frequency of a peizo disk actuator whose perimeter is mounted to a rigid support with back volume, using silicone caulking. In modeling the theory I assumed a simple support condition. The resonant frequencies abtained with this assumption donot coincide with the experimental data. Is there a way in ANSYS to model the boundary conditions that are intermediate to simple support and clamped or simple support and free? Thank you in advance.

Hi,
sure there is a way: a flexible support can be simulated using COMBIN14 elements.
