Hello,

I am trying to solve a problem using CSI software and I am relative new to the program:

A 20 cm thick foundation plate (stiffness 3e7 kPa) over 12cm XPS insulation (stiffness 7000 kPa), I need to evaluate the stresses in the XPS plates under specific static loading.
The XPS plates are supported by compression-only link elements (ground support).

I have modeled a 1 m stripe of the system using thick shell elements.

How should I model the interaction between the concrete and the XPS plates, so that only compression and friction be transferred - using link elements or using specific constraints/releases?

Thanks in advance!

If you want to account for compression-only and friction connection between concrete and plates that will require using 2 point links to connect them.
