Hi everyone

I am performing a slug analysis and i am trying to simulate the slug as a moving mass along length of pipeline in a dynamic analysis,
is it possible to use ITT elements with a slide line to model this or does anyone have a better suggestion.

The slug is to move along a 3D bend section along the pipeline.

Pls help!!

Do you need to model the dynamic response as the slug moves along the pipe length, or just the pipework reaction to the different phases. You could look at creating a MPC subroutine to model a node sliding along a path. You can tie a mass to the node and give it a velocity to model the slug moving through the pipework. I've seen this used before.

Hi twillis,

Thanks for your response, however I have not created nor used a User subroutine before,
Can you kindly give me a lead on this, or if you have an helpful file.

Rds.
