I need to model a simple structure consists of slab, pile caps, beams, and piles in STAAD.
I am modeling the centerlines, but when I look into the 3-D rendering it does not look great. Elements appears to be at different elevations(page of the attachment).
What is right to model such structure? Is offsetting is the correct solution?
In my case it is 2-way slab supported on pile caps and the connecting beams. The caps and beams are supported on 4 square RC piles. An HP pile goes directly into the slab at somewhere in the middle.
When I model using the centerlines, the slab is shown at the center of the beams and caps. I appreciate if there is an example to address what is the best to model this and to accommodate all various challenges here.
Thanks
