Hi!

I am working on a project where we will be installing a level float switch in an existing sewage tank with a fiberglass basin and structural foam cover. I was wondering if there was anything special that would need to be done to cut out a hole in the structural foam cover for a 1/8" tank adapter for a conduit connection. Can it simply be drilled through or will it impact the integrity of the cover? Once that hole is cut out, I was thinking of attaching a stainless steel bulkhead connector. Of course, this will all need to be leak-proof. Any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You need to tell us what this structural foam cover looks like , thickness, diameter etc

Drilling anything sounds like an issue to me. Is there no other way to measure level?
