Good day,

Does anyone has a sample of a good monthly report(topics to report on) from the production manager to the MD?

So far I could come up with:
Production per line/machine/factory
Machine Efficiency (with include non- and productive hours)
Quality (alerts, waste)

Regards,
LWV

My monthly report follows this format

Safety
Environmental issues
Performance - tonnes, availability, quality
Overview of any particular issues
Looking forward - anything particularly odd coming up next month.

Introduce improvement items for your staff to come up with. Like operational and safety improvements/enhancements, record them, set up improvement plans, track the progress, award the groups (both thinkers and enablers), and feed back the outcome to MD. Precise follow-up is very hard, but it drives people to see that their workenvironment is changing for the better!

Talk to your MD. Surely he has some ideas of the factors by which he assesses various departments unless one factor is mindreading capabilities.
He likely has reports that he needs to make and the more direct your input the less work he needs to do to include this in his report.
We just had a managerial change from one with an industrial engineering background to one with accounting. The reports I make now are much different than those I made six months past.
Besides, it is just good practice to get input from your customer.
