Most but not all sketch relations displayed

Using SW09 I have noticed the odd sketch relation icon disappearing.
In a sketch I am currently editing, all relations are displayed, except for a single "offset" relation. It is however listed under the lines properties.

Another situation which seems to occur consistently is when a line with an "on edge" relation loses its reference. The line changes color as it should, but the relation icon, rather than changing color, disappears completely. Again the relation is still listed under the line properties.

I have only noticed this recently, but cant think of anything which may have caused it.

Anyone else had this happen?

Thanks.

Can you create and post a part which exhibits the problem for testing on other machines?

I'm on 2009 SP3.0

Next time it happens I will try opening the file on another computer and see what happens.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one noticing this.

Hey Everyone,

Given the issue you've found with SP4.1 of 2009 I'm thinking it would help to pool our resources and SolidWorks by creating Threads for reporting issues that we find with SolidWorks broken down by SolidWorks version.

How about starting a SR/SPR specific Post where we could use tags or Basic Descriptions of how to reproduce the issue so we will be more likely to have SolidWorks look at these issues. I'm thinking we can have one post for SRs/SPRs and another for ERs Enhancement Requests.

I've Already created one for 2010 sp0.0 bugs
thread559-256996

2010 Datum Plane now behaves like the 3D Sketch Plane did in 2009 and earlier.

My beef with that is instead of being a simple swap from a center plane Normal to Surface vs Tangent to (On Surface) requires that either the Conical surface or the center axis need to be removed or added to make the swap instead of a simple Toggle check box. seems like a loss in function. However for the Tangent Surface the Normal plane does not need to pass through the center of the Cone to work as a Reference.

Having an Enhancement Request topic and SR topic may help because If we agree with someone's post we can all file the same ER or SR using the same criteria and similar message with our own perspective of the issue and possible implementation. By doing this I believe we'll have better chances of getting SolidWorks a bunch of SRs that are already inter related so they can be assigned the same SPR if enough people request a fix or improvement.

SR: Brief Description and then include RX or VAR email regarding issue with steps on how to reproduce so we can test on various SPs and verify and get on SolidWorks to fix issues or add functionality.

If any one has an SR: or ER: you want to put out there it can only help. We could have a Post Topic per service pack or version year. Please create your SR or ER Topics in thee 2010 sp0.0 thread or start one for 2009 SP5 or 4 so other people can see if they too are experiencing the issuesWe should also refrain from saying one CAD system is better than the rest like some of those really long SW vs Pro/E posts get into. Although for ERs telling SolidWorks that Inventor can do something that SolidWorks can't only can help. For one thing Open With actually shows the Product year next to Inventor Professional 2009 whereas making sure the Save w/! or Future version errors come up.

The Area and Sub Area fields of RX and the three pronged attack of the 3 fields on the SR submittal pages where many things get wrongly filed.

If we file an Enhancement Request and post the details here as to what section of SolidWorks SRs or ERs it was filed under then it may get placed on the Frequently Requested ERs that the ER tool shows, it would help them be noticed as the same issue instead of 20 or so different descriptions of the same request or enhancement suggestion.

I'll post this message in the thread I opened and have linked below. Please reply to this by posting in
