Motion Simulation Error: cannot open any saved simulations

I have a large assembly motion model, which has multiple saved simulations. Suddenly, when I enter the Motion application, and double click on a simulation to enter, I get the following error:

"Error occurred during display of part
Modeler error: object is not of type expected"

Also attached.

The application then exits, no parts are showing at the cae_motion level of the assembly, and I have to go back into modeling application. I tried loading an old save of the assembly, but unfortunately it also has the error.

Any idea how to troubleshoot and recover the simulations?

I think you must try investigate the NX logfile for this, it might contain information about what went wrong.
But, the logfile contains also company information why you might not want to share all of it here. ( the first 1-2 "pages" of the logfile contains company info.)

Call GTAC, they have the knowledge.

Tomas

Here is a what seems to be the relevant portion of the logfile, for what it's worth:

"PK function PK_TOPOL_eval_mass_props failed, ifail PK_ERROR_wrong_entity"
sounds as it's a Parasolid problem,
"Topol" might be topology,
Wrong _entity might indicate a faulty ID on an object.
Probably GTAC to help on this.

Is it only this solution that fails ?
if you have the setup ( the mechanism model) still fucntional, you can solve it again and get a new results file ?

Regards,
Tomas

I did build the components of the assembly from parasolids so that may be a clue. In this assembly model I have about 10 simulations, each using the same mechanism assembly but set up in different positions for different motions and outputs. Most but not all result in this error when I attempt to make it the active simulation (right click > "Make Work"), so I am not even able to view the links/joints/solves within the simulations. A couple of the simulations I discovered are still working, and I can enter them and run the solutions within them just fine.
