Good morning

I hope they can help me with a problem.

We are currently installing a motor of the same specifications that leads to a blower. This engine have performed you tests without the blower in the original structural coupling, we have not had satisfactory results, however we have carried out test with the same engine on a test bench and the results were excellent.

That would be causing me so much structural vibration when I make the test if only this engine differs in weight which is less than the original?

Changes is mass, stiffness, or damping in the system will modify the natural frequency of the system. Changes to your setup may have brought your system's natural frequency closer to the frequency of the forcing function, resulting in resonance and vibration. Less weight doesn't necessarily translate to less vibration potential.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.
