Right I have another question. I have a case where there are two separate pump panels both individually isolated. What I want to do is run both pump control (start signal 110vac) into an outside enclosure and then use this signal to create a start stop and e stop circuit. Is it a problem running these signals to a common enclosure? Obviously to isolate that panel both pump panel isolators will have to be switched off. What are your thoughts. Thank you in advance guys

In some jurisdictions the panel would have a warning posted;
"CAUTION MORE THAN ONE SOURCE OF SUPPLY"

We have had this kind of set up mainly on our scrap press since it is in another building.
As you say it is real important to have a selector with feedback that acknowledge that the other panels are truly disconnected.
And it is also very important that the start function cant be made if there are any security risks added compared to start it where you can visually see what happens when you are starting the equipment.
Those risks must be taken care of before you can allow a start where you can not see the machine.
