I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and now my MotorMaster program won't run. According the DOE website MM 4.1 won't run on 64 bit Win 7. IT won't let me run the computer in XP mode.

I installed the international version of Motormaster and it works but I couldn't get it to open my database files.

Anyone have any ideas?

Set up a "Virtual Machine"? That's what we do here for older programming software that is not ever going to be upgraded to run with Win 7*

A virtual machine was exactly the solution to getting Doble ProTest to run (install properly) on my Win7 x64. IIRC it was free from microsoft, called windows virtual machine.

I though it was INCLUDED in Win 7, no?

Ah, you have to have 'Pro" or "Ultimate"

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll ask our IT department about the virtual machine idea. I was hoping there was a way to export the motormaster 4.1 database and import it into the Motormaster International application - which does run on Win 7. I haven't found a way to export the existing database yet.
