Hello, I'm not looking for marketing proposes, but some advices.
While working with CATIA, we use a lot the middle mouse button, which is quite painfull for a long day of working! At the end of the day the middle mouse button, looks to need tons of pressure to work! Most of CAD users suffers of tendinitis. I'm trying to avoid this by having a proper mouse that will delay tendinitis. General mouses the middle mouse button requires a lot more load to press, than right ou left button.

My question is, what kind of mouse do you suggest?

I like my combo of a Logitech MX Master 2S (they have a newer one now) and a 3DConnexion SpaceMouse (not sure which one). The MX master is a very nice mouse with some programmable buttons and a bit of an ergonomic tilt, and the 3D mouse makes model manipulation much easier/more precise (for me at least, and after a kinda steep learning curve). The MX Master does use the scroll wheel as a middle mouse button and it feels about average as far as actuation force goes, but with the 3D mouse that's much less of a concern since you don't need to use the middle mouse button nearly as much. The 3D mouse requires a very light touch and almost no movement, so it's never given me any hand issues.

You could try Logitech G305, albeit a "gaming" mouse, it has a very sober look, no lights, no fancy stuff. It has a very nice rubber cover wheel that puts almost no strain on your finger. Please do try using any mouse with a rubber backed "thick" mouse pad. Saves you some joint pain.

I'm using a SpaceMouse Pro Wireless + CADMouse wireless combo. With the 3D mouse for navigation, I'm only using the MMB for quick zooming. The MMB is also useful during web browsing paired with the weel. This way you can remap your wheel click to another function, I'm toggling a macro with my mouse wheel button. It has only upsides :) No downs at all.

I recommend buying the Spacemouse Wireless Kit which includes the CADMouse compact and a smooth mouse mat. The price might be intimidating at first, but in the long run it will make up for it with effectiveness.

Our group of about 15 all use the cadmouse pro wireless (no complaints). I like the radial button option. And we have different versions of the spacemouse. I use one of the older larger spacemouse with a bunch of buttons that I don't use. I tried one of the smaller wireless versions, but didn't care for it. Seemed a little difficult to determine orientation of device when wrist is resting on desk versus the device itself. The smaller one is used by others in our group without complaint, and they are nice for travel. I have worked without a spacemouse for a small period of time and my hand would hurt on busy days. I would say spacemouse is a definite yes, and their cadmouse is better than any standard mouse
I use the mouse directly on desk, I didn't like being confined to the size of the mouse pad.

rickyt,
If you have high speed settings you don't need a lot of space for the mouse. I'm circling on a cca 10x10 cm area and never needed more. I have a large 90x40 cm thick mouse mat but that's more for armrest comfort rather than smooth mouse operation.
