Any ideas for easily moving a 2500 kg piece of equipment of size 2.8M X .8M X 2.0M (L X W * H) in a class 10,000 cleanroom? No Forklifts. I've considered air casters but have concerns about cleanroom compatibility. This would be used for moving the equipment throughout the building on a regular basis. We would be producing up to 3 of these units per day.

If you have a flat floor surface, machinery skates should work well. If the bottom of the object you want to move is flat, plain rollers will work, but are a pain, and would probably damage linoleum.

Would a Manually operated pallet jack work? With the right wheels, and no slope(I hope!) 2500kg is not too big a load for a couple of people to push. Would your budget allow you to keep one exclusively for cleanroom use? Would an electric model be acceptable?

I have some sketches for some machinery skates that only need the load to be about an inch off the ground. Let me know if you need them.
