MTR Certification Requirements 1

I have recieved some suspect 304H pipe from an Asian mill. The MTR's are not signed or stamped.

Is this a requirement? I don't recall ever seeing MTR's without a signature.

No, there is no requirement.

Review ASME SA 530, specifically under 21.1 Certified Test Report

When specified in the PO or contract the producer or supplier shall furnish a Certified Test Report certifying that the material was manufacured, sampled, tested and inspected in accordance with the Specification, including..... A signature or noterization is not required on the Certified Test Report.....

If an MTR has no name, seal, or stamp it is just raw data. a certified test report must include the authority that prepared it. This can be per-printed or stamped or anything else.
I think that this is the least of your worries.
Do a chem and a micro to check grain size for starters. You might also take some dimensions and see if it is the correct size.

Send it back to the supplier. I personally would not bother to do anything with the suspect material. Why take on the risk? Also, you will have serious traceability issues.

I don't think thats an MTR. MTR should contain authority signature , stamp etc.
