Hi,

I'm looking for a way to print my entire drawing to tiff files. It is very time consuming to re-create these files every time. I have tried Print CGM and Print Workbench to no avail.

On a separate note, is there a way to save print profile settings such as page width in a profile? I-deas doesn't seem to keep my settings even when I save to a profile.

Thanks

Figured it out. Syntax is just a little annoying. It seems that file paths in Print Workbench must be stored in variables.

my suggestion would be to forget the sdi plotting and use mplot from mquest. I wrote a script to convert all sheets of a drawing to tiff image but it does not join them into one file, each sheet is seperate. If u purchase mplot it will make a multi sheet tiff, i current use pdf files and use ghostscript to convert a postscript file into a pdf.

to create the tiff i would export each sheet to a cgm file them use a msplot script to convert the cgm to a tiff and then repeat for each sheet.

if i can find the script i will try to post it.

Do you have to have MPlot from Mquest to run your script file?

no the script uses msplot which is in the ideas install, it might be an option on the install. I don't recall off the top of my head. The M-Plot is a superior printing solution to what is bundles with i-deas.
